We are pleased to announce that Dastur Energy has signed a strategic MoU with IIT Kharagpur focused on the scientific characterisation of high-ash Indian coal and the development of advanced technology solutions for efficient gasification.
This collaboration strengthens India’s ability to characterise, model and utilise its high-ash coal resources for reliable syngas generation and downstream low-carbon applications. By combining Dastur Energy’s technical know-how, techno-economics and process-integration expertise with IIT Kharagpur’s experimental, modelling and pilot-scale capabilities, the partnership aims to accelerate data-driven innovation for next-generation gasification systems tailored to Indian feedstocks.
The MoU was signed on 27 November 2025 at the SRIC (Sponsored Research & Industrial Consulting) division of IIT Kharagpur in the presence of:
