Cabinet clears ₹37.5K crore coal gasification scheme

In a recent article published in Business Standard, the Government of India’s approval of a ₹37,500 crore coal gasification incentive scheme was highlighted as a major step towards accelerating cleaner energy solutions and reducing import dependence. The initiative aims to promote coal gasification projects that convert domestic coal into valuable products such as synthetic natural gas, methanol, ammonium nitrate, and hydrogen.
